SPOTLIGHT: Sensory Path helps Children Build Motor Skills, Stay Engaged

Check out this sensory pathway at SCAP Headstart's Bellevue site created by Occupational Therapist Danielle Lehman, MS, ATC, OTR/L. SCAP Headstart is part of Pyramid Model Cohort 4, promoting social-emotional competence in infants and young children.

Site Supervisor, Pam Turnbell says it’s made all the difference in helping students to stay engaged while they make their way down the hall or wait to use the bathroom. Sensory paths are a great way to build motor skills, balance, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness. This one is made with tape, but there are many ways to create your own at home or in the classroom!
