WDI’s Child Care Subsidy Facilitated Enrollment Program
WDI’s Child Care Subsidy Facilitated Enrollment Program helps eligible working families apply for financial assistance. WDI staff are available to answer questions and guide families through the application process. People often ask:
How Does the Program Work?
Enrolled families receive income-based childcare subsidies to help offset the high cost of childcare. You will still be responsible for a portion of the cost (called the family share) which is determined by your family’s income.
What is the Process?
Complete the eligibility prescreen here OR call your local WDI office to start the application process (beginning with a pre-screening).
If eligible to apply, you will receive an application. Return this completed application and the required documentation via fax, email, mail, or in person at your local WDI office.
WDI will forward your completed application with documentation to your local county Department of Social Services Child Care Unit. If approved, they will authorize payment to your childcare provider.
Subsidies are subject to the availability of funding.
