Welcome to the first edition of Home & Classroom, our new magazine designed especially for people who want to create a world where all children are understood. This is for readers who want to better understand child development so they can contribute to the lives of the children they love. We hope to be informative, entertaining, and useful. Inside you’ll find a mixture of news, features, and regular columns on a wide range of development-related topics. Essentially, if it helps children, we want to include it. Regular columns will include submissions from our staff on subjects including parenting, mindfulness, infant and toddler development, nutrition, and do-it-yourself activities.

We also want to include writing from readers like you. If you are interested in becoming a contributor to Home & Classroom please contact Kate Smith. Home & Classroom will come out three times per year in the Winter/Spring, Summer, and Fall.

We are excited to publish this inaugural issue; it has truly been a labor of love. We hope you enjoy it and please let us know if there are any topics you’d like to see covered in the future.
