SKILLS FOR SCHOOL: FOCUSING, LOOKING, THINKING

Fun and messy learning!

MATERIALS: A mixing bowl and a large spoon plus some scoops or smaller spoons for play.

INGREDIENTS: Mix: 2 parts cornstarch with 1 part water and a few drops of food coloring of your choice (optional)

ACTIVITY

INFANT: Allow your infant to explore the Oobleck with their hands. Pinching, scooping, grasping the Oobleck from the table surface encourages fine motor development. Provide some spoons or scoops, to promote self-help skills like lifting and holding spoons and scooping up the mixture.

TODDLER: Squish it, roll it, squeeze it, mix it, and watch it transition from solid to liquid form. Toddlers can play with Oobleck the same way infants can. Extend the learning by mixing up different colors and notice what happens when the two colors get blended together.

Oobleck is quick to clean up with water!

MATERIALES: Tazón para mezclar y cuchara grande más algunas palas o cucharas para jugar.

INGREDIENTES: Mezcla: 2 partes de maicena con 1 parte de agua y unas gotas de colorante alimentario de tu elección (opcional)

ACTIVIDAD

INFANTES: Permita que su bebé explore el Oobleck con sus manos. Pellizcar, recoger y agarrar el Oobleck de la superficie de la mesa fomenta el desarrollo de la motricidad fina. Proporcione algunas cucharas o cucharones para promover las habilidades de autoayuda, como levantar y sostener cucharas y recoger la mezcla.

NIÑOS: SAplástalo, enróllalo, apriétalo, mézclalo y observa cómo pasa de sólido a líquido. Los niños pequeños pueden jugar con Oobleck de la mi!ma manera que los bebés. Amplíe el aprendizaje mezclando diferentes colores y observe lo que sucede cuando los dos colores se mezclan.

¡Oobleck se limpia rápidamente con agua!!
