OCFS Dear Provider Letter Warns of Predatory Businesses Targeting Grant Funds

The most recent Dear Provider letters were shared electronically distributed to child care programs and posted on the OCFS website this week. The letter contains important new information on predatory businesses targeting child care provider Stabilization grant funds. The Office has learned that there are people reaching out to child care providers offering assistance with applying for the Stabilization grant - and charging fees. Please be aware that the grant is completely free to apply and assistance through Brightside Up or NYS Office of Children and Family Services is free.

Contact your Union representative or enrollment agent. OCFS has been working with CSEA and UFT and enrollment agencies to encourage providers to apply for Stabilization grants.
