Change in Brightside Up Training Rates

We would like to announce a recent adjustment to our prices. Effective October 1, 2022, we have increased the rates for our training as follows:

  • Open/public training and onsite training rates are $35 per person/per hour for training led by a NYSTTAP Trainer and $30 per person/per hour for training led by a Content Specialist or Verified Trainer

  • Our Blended Online Learning for CPR, First Aid, & AED is $95

  • Classroom Tool Observations (ITERS, ECERS, CLASS) are $1,500 per classroom for pre/post, and debrief

  • Practice-Based Coaching is $55 per person/hour with a NYSTTAP Coach

These rates are aligned with partnering training organizations and will help Brightside Up to continue to provide the high-quality training and services you have come to expect.

As a reminder, there are several funding opportunities to help reduce your out-of-pocket cost.

  1. The Educational Incentive Program (EIP) is a scholarship program that helps child care providers pay for training and educational activities with the intent to build provider knowledge, skills, and competencies to improve the quality of child care. To be eligible for EIP, child care providers must be required to take training and must be caring for children in a program regulated by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYS OCFS).

  2. Family, Group Family, and Legally Exempt child care providers can attend training at no cost by using the CSEA/VOICE Professional Development Training Program. This program is open to NYS Registered Family, Licensed Group Family and Legally Exempt child care providers/owners.

  3. Among its many valuable services, QUALITYstarsNY also provides scholarships, professional development, and training opportunities to help participating program staff further their educational goals and meet higher standards.

The new rates are published on our website and are reflected in the training descriptions posted for registration. Any training posted before October 1 will be honored at the original advertised rate.
